I am the Diptera Recorder for Wiltshire. I have a Simuliid swept in my garden in Wiltshire last Saturday, but am stuck as to where to turn. There seems to be no reasonably current source of information and no key to the British species. I can buy a secondhand copy of the Lewis Davies 1968 key but am reluctant to spend the apparent asking price (£30 plus postage.) Can anyone help?
